Hi,
I have a vitrual server with strato hosting.
OS Linux 2.6.18-028stab091.2
Panel version 10.2.0
I have added 3 domains to the server as subscriptions to myself and the files and domains work fine, the issue comes with email.
I have Domain A, B and C
Domain A doesnt use email on the server we have our own dedicated exchange server located in the business premises and this works.
Domain B and C have emails setup in plesk and these work to external address's
My issue is that Domain A will not send emails to B or C and neither will B and C send to A yet all 3 can send and recieve from external address'
The message i get back is: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table
it almost seems as if it sees domain A is set up on the same server so tries delivering it there without checking the dns records but because the accounts dont exist there it bounces back. I have spoke to Strato and they said my explanation seems feasible but to post here.
If any one can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Phil
