Resolved ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket

Hello. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server + Plesk 11.5 was re-started by Strato because of an hardware-error. Now I have a server problem:

ERROR: PleskDBException: Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect(): Permission denied /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock (Error code: 2002). Please check that database server is started and accessible. (Abstract.php:69)

I use terminal for ssh and try to find a solution at google to connect at MySql... without any result.

Im just a web designer and a server newbie.

Try to fix it with

# chmod 755 /var/run/mysqld/
