• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Hi There,

I'm using windows 2008 with Simple DNS.

When i try to create a domain, gives me this error:

Error: DNS records for domain with such name already exist

WHat can i do?

Thanks!

HI there,

You need to go to your database of plesk, the name is psa , and then delete the collums with the domain name..

Save, and then add the domain.

Solved.

Regards!

Hey thanks fo replying quick.
I use MySQL for plesk database but i cant find the location of this database you mentioned or is this a simple DNS database?

Thanks

Hum...

My database it's mssql...

U know what database is? The name ?

Use MySQL adminstrator i think it's the same way!

Regards,

i doubt phpmyadmin will work, i think my only option of removing the related field is command line for MySQL, which i currently have no idea how to accomplish.
Thanks for the hint nevertheless

Hi there,

Which is your OS?

The version of plesk it's 8.4?

Thanks.

Gentlemen,

There are three possible database engines in Plesk for Windows:

1) MSSQL. In this case it can be edited with SQL Management Studio;
2) Jet. Can be opened with MS access or third-party tools like MDB viewer;
3) MySQL. Can be reached with the script below:

Start > Run > cmd
cd %plesk_dir%\mysql\bin
> mysql.exe -uadmin -pPLESK_ADMIN_PASSWORD -P8306 psa

Please do not forget to backup the database before doing any changes ;-)

Thanks for the tip Dmitry, i was able to login to MySQL console with that command, but i dont know how to call up or edit the tables. i believe what i need t edit is dns_recs but i have no clue how to.

Did you get it to work???

Do you consider youself a successful Windows 2008 <> Plesk install?
Did you ever get it to function, Plesk CP without errors in the event logs?

I've been trying to get a decent working system of Win2k8 x64 and Plesk for about 2 months now without any luck. Parallels doesn't seem to have anyone that knows anything about Win2k8 to help.
