• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi ,

got a strange problem . Tried to backup the whole plesk accounts / domains ect..

as usual i typed "/..../psa/bin/pleskbackup all /.../fullbackup " into the linux console.

After few seconds the backupscript is displaying me the following error :

" ERROR Unable to open /..../psa/var/apspkgarc/archive-index.xml " .

I looked it up,there is no directory called "apspkgarc" . He also finished his job and backups all domains , accounts, ect... .

Anybody an idea about this error ?

Greetings

...sis...

backup is corrupt "ERROR Unable to open /opt/psa/var/apspkgarc/archive-index.xml"

I get the same error when I try to make a restore of a backupped file in plesk 8.3 (btw: the backup was generated with the same plesk version (8.3 on debian sarge) and it's the same machine where I tried to restore the data later):

BE CAREFUL: It seems to be a valid backup file, but it isn't!!

A TRY TO RESTORE THE DATA VIA PLESKRESTORE

/opt/psa/bin/pleskrestore --restore backup_20080703033301.pbk -verbose -level all -map backup_2008070303330.map

WILL FAIL BY TELLING YOU, CORRUPT XML DATA...!! Its only possible to import parts of your backup. But an import of backup-parts will remove the other data (e.g. other email accounts etc.)...

So, I made my experience with PLESK and I do not trust pleskbackup any more!! Its tooo bad to loose data of my customers :-(

same problem over here:

ERROR Unable to open /..../apspkgarc/archive-index.xml

could someone from swsoft tell us something about the problem?

cheers,
dominik
