Okay I have a weird one here. I'm currently running Plesk 8.01, yet when I login under my admin account and go to updates, it still shows that I have updates for my current version.
So I go ahead and click on the update, then install, then it tells me it'll email me once the update is finished.
I receive an error message via email and it says I already have the latest version of Plesk8 which is 8.0.1 .
from email:
Download file versions.inf3: 13%..100% done
Download file PSA_8.0.1/plesk-8.0.1-fr5.4-i386.inf3: 100% done
Check for components installation status
Download file plesk-8.0.1-fr5.4-i386.hdr.gz: 100% done
Get Plesk product packages from specified source
Start packages installation
Install package psa
Trying to define super-server internet daemon type... inetd
Trying to check if inetd daemon is running... done
===> Checking for previous installation ... found.
Unable to upgrade. You already have 8.0.1 version installed
To install new Plesk copy, please move '/usr/local/psa'
to another place manually.
Execute cmd failed: sh /root/psa/PSA_8.0.1/dist-standard-FreeBSD-5.4-i386/psa_v8.0.1_build80060615.20_os_FreeBSD_5.4_i386.sh
ERROR: Error while install .sh package

The reason why I'm trying to update is because I really want to take advantage of the BACKUP -> FTP function that was in the 7.5 release, but taken out in the 8.0 release.
I really dont want to redo my plesk installation due to tons of modifications to the webmail and user directories. Is there any way I can force an update ?
