Hi all.

I have a i7 with 8GB RAM and Plesk 9.3

I noticed that i use swap memory sometimes; then i see what happens in the server to use swap memory.

In last month, memory usage is going up: 3 GB, 4 GB, 5 GB, 7 GB, ...

To see who is the ram eater i do

I stop drweb and spamassassin, but memory stills near 8 GB

At Plesk side, it tell me that i use 6.6 GB of 7.9 GB, but from console y see it's full.

Any tip?
 
Do you have any memory related errors and messages in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log, /var/log/messages ?

hi folks,

guess that's not a problem at all. Linux uses up 100% of RAM as long as it's not allocated yet. So even if you don't to anything with your server the RAM will be "used up" over time. But it will be freed immediately as soon as RAM is "really" needed. You only have to worry when the machine really starts to slow down.

Just type in "top" and then "m" to sort by memory usage descending and you'll see if there are real memory-users there
