  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, I have made a site with Expression Web and I need it hosted on the server, I have a centos 4 with plesk 9.0.1 (linux) but the option frontpage, leaves off.

Also do not leave an option to install the updater, as I can install support for frontpage?

Thanks

Parallels Plesk Panel does not support the Microsoft Expression Web tool.

FrontPage Support

I am running Plesk 9.0.1 and am still able to use FrontPage with it. You are not supposed to unless you were running it before Microsoft said "We hate you Linux". Just thought I would put it out there that it is possible.

End of life on Frontpage extensions

Just a note (because it's not Plesk that is the issue here), effective June 30, 2006 the Microsoft FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions for UNIX have been End-of-Lifed.

Microsoft doesn't "hate" linux (they supplied unix/linux code to run frontpage on), because of lawsuits (and probably their desire to switch people off of frontpage and onto Expression Web) they no longer support them.

If you really want to install them though a little googling will show you the way to the files you'll need to do it (it's an easy install).

hope that helps!

When you stop supporting something that is different than making it illegal to install an old piece of software on a server.

I have FrontPage installed under 9.0.1 running under CentOs 5 x86_64
I will be happy to try and help you install it under your OS.

At least it has installed and the webadmin features in Plesk 9 work... I don't have any FP site running but, as I said, it appears to be functioning.

need help in installing Frontpage for Plesk 8.6

ZopfWare I need to install Frontpage extension for Plesk 8.6. I assume it is the same procedure as for the 9.01 version. If you could let me know how you did it, I'd greatly apreciate it.
