• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • The ImunifyAV extension is now deprecated and no longer available for installation.
Existing ImunifyAV installations will continue operating for three months, and after that will automatically be replaced with the new Imunify extension. We recommend that you manually replace any existing ImunifyAV installations with Imunify at your earliest convenience.

Issue fsmng failed and Unable to retrieve repository configuration

Server operating system version
Debian 9
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian Web Host Edition Version 18.0.44 Update #3
Hello,

I am facing issues in Plesk when running the following command:

plesk repair fs -system

It returns the error:

ERR [util_exec] proc_close() failed ['/opt/psa/admin/bin/fsmng' '--set-ac' '/var/log/plesk'] with exit code [1]

Manually fixing file and directory permissions (chown, chmod) did not resolve the issue.
Additionally, I am experiencing an update error:

ERROR: Unable to retrieve repository configuration from autoinstaller: unknown error

When running:

plesk installer list

It returns:

ERROR: Selector '18.0.44' does not match any product ID, release ID...

✅ Connection to autoinstall.plesk.com is working (curl and ping succeed).
❌ Updating the autoinstaller cache (plesk installer update) did not help.

The errors still haven't been fixed, I have Debian 9, maybe it's because of that?
I need to update PLESK, can I update to the latest version on debian 9, or should I migrate to 12 debian or update to debian 12?

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? What steps should I take?

Thank you!

Debian 9 is no longer supported. I highly suggest that you set migrate to a new supported OS.

See the following for supported OSes: System Requirements for Plesk Obsidian
Thanks for the feedback, I will try to migrate. I have problems with the rights to the files /opt/psa/PMM/tmp, /var/log/plesk/PMM and /opt/psa/PMM/rsessions, I tried to fix it manually but it didn't work, and the command plesk repair fs -system didn't fix it, can you tell me how to solve it?

Спасибо за ответ, написал в техподдержку, жду ответа, но почему-то статус решен, надеюсь ответа не получу. Давно уже обращался с другим вопросом, к сожалению ответа не получил

I will be glad to receive a response from technical support soon, as I need to plan the OS update as you recommended to me

Thank you for the update. I discussed the case with our team and the ticket should be updated already.
Sorry, Plesk which is on Debian 9, Plesk version 18.0.44, I'd better update the OS from 9-> 10-> 11-> 12 or do a migration, which one would you recommend so that there are no breakdowns

и вообще, возможно ли мне сделать копию моего сервера Splash и попробовать обновить его?

It really depends. Each methods holds potential complications. Considering that you need to upgrade through several major versions it might be easier to perform a migration. In any case, just make sure to have a full server snapshot. You can find the dist-upgrade procedures here:
