• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

FTP Backup stopped

JoshHL

New Pleskian
Hi,

On the 1st February the FTP backups on my server stopped and have began backing up to the server repository instead.

They had been working fine for months, keeping 10 backups, and replacing the old ones. However the last ftp backup was on the 31st Jan, and since the 1st of Feb they have been stored on the server repository, 16 days worth only noticed because I ran out of space on the server! So it is storing them in the wrong location and also ignoring the keep up to 10 backups.

If I run a manual backup through plesk, select FTP, it still goes to the server repository. Anyone any ideas?

Plesk version 11.0.9

Thanks

Had another look today and it will only backup server configuration to the ftp repository, if I try and backup server config and content then it backs up to the server and doesn't copy it over to the FTP repository.

I have the same problem on my server. After 18th of Februrary ftp backup stopped and all backups resides in server repository

Finally got the FTP backup working again on our server.

deleted /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp

Created a new directory, /var/backup/tmp

then used a symbolic link between the two, so ln -s /var/backup/tmp /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp

That is what worked for me, hopefully it works for other people.
