• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello all...

hope this one's been answered already?

when using the File Manager, for a domain, I note that I can NOT give full read/write/execute permissions for the WHOLE folder at one time.

so...how do you do that, so that any page in the root folder (ie httpdocs) can be edited online, ie via a CMS system?

???

Getting old.....sorry lads!

Umm....I forgot that I'd already asked much the same thing here about a week ago or so....

And the answer is? Well, Plesk will NOT allow you to modify permissions on the httpdocs folder.....

So the answer provied by Julian works best!

You just need to change the permissions on the folder instead of individual files.

Login with Terminal Services & set permissions on the folder with Windows Explorer.

Cheers, Julian

Plesk owners -- fix this! As an asp dev we NEED to be able sometimes to allow users to modify the root folder items, hence we need to be able to set permissions for httpdocs!
