TITLE

GraphQL Error when opening Mass Email Notifications

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.73#3, CloudLinux 8.10

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

When I try to create or send Mass Email Notifications. Plesk shows an error page with the following content:

GraphQL Error

Plesk\GraphQl\Values\ClientValue::email(): Return value must be of type string, null returned
TypeGraphQL Error
MessagePlesk\GraphQl\Values\ClientValue::email(): Return value must be of type string, null returned

The strange thing is this happens not on all servers, but all have the same Plesk and OS version.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Open Tool&Settings click on Mass Email Notifications then click on either Add Mass Email template or Send Mass Email.

ACTUAL RESULT

Error page:

GraphQL Error

Plesk\GraphQl\Values\ClientValue::email(): Return value must be of type string, null returned
TypeGraphQL Error
MessagePlesk\GraphQl\Values\ClientValue::email(): Return value must be of type string, null returned

EXPECTED RESULT

The page that lets one add a new template or send an existing template.

Help with sorting out

Hello, @Jens Johansson . The most common reason for the issue you are describing is missing email in Customers > user_name > Editing Contact Info > Email address field for one or more users. To check that, you can execute the following commands:

Code:
plesk db
select id, cname, pname, login, email from clients where email is NULL\G

Based on the output, please try adding an email address for the user(s) and let us know if the issue persists afterwards.
