  • Inviting everyone to the UX test of a new security feature in the WP Toolkit
For WordPress site owners, threats posed by hackers are ever-present. Because of this, we are developing a new security feature for the WP Toolkit. If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. Hacked server, logfiles emptied

MarchelV

New Pleskian
Hello everyone.

It seems someone made a full copy of our server (running on Ubuntu 12.04 and Plesk 12). After that the logfiles are cleared.

Is it possible to undelete these logfiles or access an alternative log?

To be more precise:
Between 15 and 17 november someone managed to make a full backup/copy of our Plesk server. We think they managed to find a ftp account with a password.
All log files in Plesk are emptied on 17 november so we cannot trace back who did this.
Our host cannot help us as it is an unmanaged server.
