hmailserver problems, using webmail

Hi, I have been using hmailserver for a long time and never experienced a real problem with it.

However!

I just set up a new server, running windows server 2003, I also installed Plesk 8.1 and hoped that everything would run smoothly.

But!

Now, when I send myself a mail from my Gmail account, I cannot receive it using outlook. When I try using the webmail as I did before I get:

Preference file, ../data/[email protected], could not be opened. Contact your system administrator to resolve this issue.

I am using hmailserver version 4.4-B270, Plesk version 8.1 for windows.

In the Status flip in Hmailserver administrator, I can see that some messages are being processed, also messages containing virus and spam, so it seems to be working but still, I cannot receive a email from my Gmail account.

When I send myself a email from outlook, through my ISP smtp, I can receive those ones.

Strange!

What do you think, what could be the problem?

And, regarding the webmail issue, what could be the problem there.

I have been online for a lot of hours now, looking for possible causes, including surfing plesk forums and hmailserver forums.

Is this something others have been having?

Hi, I can sell you my Merak pro license for unlimited domains for about $350. Merak is much better than hmail. I switched to smartermail so no need for my merak license anymore.

you can catch me on msn at: [email protected]
