• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Host is unavailable

I am trying to use the Migration Manager to migrate data directly from one server to the other. Both servers are running Parallels Plesk Panel 10.0.1 and CentOS 5. When I type in the hostname or IP address and the correct username and password I get the error "Host (hostname) is not available." on a plain white screen. This is on a brand new working installation. The Knowledge Base has info for doing a manual dump and migration for version 9, but I did not see one for version 10.

Are you sure that server is really accessible via port 22 from another server?

Firewall

I was able to figure it out finally with information found on this page: http://kb.odin.com/en/1432

It ended up being that one of the servers did not have the port 6489 enabled, and was insted blocked.
