How do I change permissions ?

apke2k

New Pleskian
I would like to know how I can change permissions.
I could no longer access a directory for some reason and my hosting provider solved the permission problem.
I don't know how it was done.
I think SSH was used but I don't know how that works.
I searched for answers and it appears to be very easy but somehow it's not working for me.

Inside the File Manager there's a column with the name Permissions.
All I need to down is click on one of those rwr r-x-- links.
The problem is those links don't work for me. Does anyone know why ?

The second solution is to look for the locks inside the File Manager > httpdocs
But I'm not seeing a lock icon.
Maybe that's because the instructions are for an older version of plesk. I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how I can change the permissions ?

using ftp ,
log in to your sever and use the chmod mode for changing the permissions to writeable (0777)
right click and use the chmod in droppdown ,
click and make sure the desired files/folders are in 777 so,
tick all user permissions whcih change the permissions to writeable

this will make any file writeable for upgrades
i hope this is what you where after
