• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

How do I change the minimum and maximum required password lengths?

I found a post which had the following information:

"Minimal password length is 4 characters by default. This value can be changed in the PLESK_MIN_PASSWORD_LENGTH parameter of the [HKLM\SOFTWARE\PLESK\PSA Config\Config] key."

However, there was not an entry for PLESK_MIN_PASSWORD_LENGTH, so I tried adding it. When I tried adding an account with less characters in the password, it was added and I was able to log in with it :( Furthermore, when I tried creating a password with only 3 characters, it worked also.

Has anyone else made changes to theirs or have any ideas of how to get it to work correctly?

Thanks!
