How do I parse a mail inbox with CRON

I would like to parse a mailbox using cron every 10 min or so and run actions depending on
1. the TO: field
2. the BODY:
3. the FROM field

Can someone point me in the right direction to do something like this.

Also, I was reading up on the API tool to create mail accounts. The Documentation is a bit limited online. does anyone know of any examples around? I would like to create a mail account on my domain when the user creates an account in my web application.
