How do I route both https and http requests to the same folder?

Hi,

I am using Plesk 8.6 on a Windows Server 2003 with IIS v6. How do I get my website to have both https and http go to the same folder and not two different ones? I did not see any setting in IIS for that or in Plesk. I know that in IIS7 there is a bindings action, but that does not exist in IIS6. Right now Plesk configures a httpsdocs and a httpdocs folder for each type of connection. I would like a single one.

Thanks,

Sarah

Yeah i need the same.

How can i bring the two folders httpdocs & httpsdocs to one global folder for any http or https connection?

i have iis 6 with plesk 9

Hi,

I apologize for the delay. I did manage to get the issue resolved. The default for a new site is that https and http share the same folder. I do not remember what I did exactly to solve the problem, but as I recall the first thing that I did was to upgrade to the latest Parallels Plesk version. That is free and went without much dificulty. I then deleted the domain in question and recreated it inside Plesk. I then added the certificate information. I might have gone to IIS, as I do remember tweaking some things there, but that might have been solely for another problem that I had. Anyways, after all was said and done, I got things working. As long as I am writing, I can say that GoDaddy and Parallel were both of little to no help, but that is nothing new.

I hope that helps.

Sarah
