• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved How to access Plesk database

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

How can I access the Plesk database?
Can this be done through Plesk using PHPmyAdmin?

I need to remove some unwanted applications listed. They have been found by a scan but they are not needed.

Best regards

Hi,

I was able to delete all the "useless" applications in the plesk database using phpMyAdmin.

Just in case someone needs to do do this as well (after he was clicking on Search" in the list of applications) here is a quick description:

Go to Tools and Settings -> Database servers
Click on the tool icon after the MySQL server in the list to open phpMyAdmin
Select the Plesk Database "psa"
Check the entries in table "ComposerInstances" and delete the items who came in accidently (in my case all items as my Joomla Installations are not listed there)

This has cleaned up my "Applications" window a lot and I can only see my installed Joomlas in the list (as it should be).

Best regards
Onki
