• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

How to change temp directory for Multivolume Backups

I've noticed that Plesk is using a different directory to create temp files during a multivolume FTP backup than for a non-multivolume backup. Is there a way to change the location of this directory?

For a non-multivolume backup we can edit the location in /etc/psa/psa.conf (explained here: http://wpguru.co.uk/2014/03/how-to-change-the-default-directory-for-backups-in-plesk/)

However, for multivolume backups Plesk is using /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp - which in my case is not big enough. I couldn't find a configuration file where this location could be changed. The splitting action is called in /usr/local/psa/PMM/agents/shared/Storage/Splitter.pm
