Question How to create a CNAME record for a domain

Hello,

Seems to be an easy question but...

I need to create a CNAME record for a domain xyz.com (without www)

whatever.domain2.com CNAME xyz.com

If I go to DNS configuration, I delete de A record for xyz.com and add a CNAME record for xyz.com I receive the error:

Error: This record will be in conflict with the glue record for the zone xyz.com

How Can I add this cname record?

Short Answer: You simply cannot, as it would not be a valid DNS configuration
