• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question How to install PECL/XMLRPCi from within Plesk 18.0.49

rednax

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.49
Being a newbee with Plesk, I'm trying to install PECL extension XMLRPCi from within Plesk 18.0.49, but I get this error message:

Failed to download pecl/XMLRPCi within preferred state "stable", latest release is version 1.0, stability "beta", use "channel://pecl.php.net/XMLRPCi-1.0" to install install failed

How can I resolve this? How can I change the channel?
EDIT: My PHP version is 8.0.27

XMLRPC I thought was "experimental", but I have not heard of XMLRPCi yet. According to its very short documentation it seems to be for PHP 5? Also the maintainer page is unavailable http://www.coggeshall.org/oss/xmlrpci/.

It is thinkable that not all things ever available with a PECL install can be installed using the PECL installer in Plesk. Maybe this is one of these.

To add on, doing a quick search around, XMLRPCi was done decades ago so I would not use that, I would stick with just XMLRPC
