• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

how to sync plesk configuration on 2 boxes

i have to loadbalanced boxes.

if i add new domains and subdomains on one, then i want those to be added to the other. is there a way to do this with plesk? to sync two copies?

the backup tool for plesk doesnt work too well and that is manual anways... so not an option.

does plesk store its config in a db or text files?

You'd need to use the Event Manager feature to talk to the API on the other plesk server. Check the manual for info.

that would mean i would have to create an event handler for each and every event i want duplicated on the other server?

there could be dozens of events i want
duplicated. that seems very innefficient.

there should be a script that syncs the actual data, instead of each event that occurs.

You could just rsync the stuff you want synchronised. Plesk's not designed for this though.

but if plesk stores its info in a db, can you rsync that?

what kind of webhost management software would not anticipate loadbalanced servers???

maybe i need to switch packages, but i tried helm before and thats was a pain in the a$$ ...
