How to use webmailer (horde)?

Hello at all,

excuse my terrible english please, I'm from Germany.

I've started to try the Webmailer (Horde).
I can only access the login-screen by using one of my domains:

http://webmail.my1domain.de

But if I try to use an other domain (wich is already configured), I will get an error like: 'Page can not be displayed'

http://webmail.my2domain.de

How to solve this error?

By Using the URL => http://webmail.my1domain.de
I can only access to the webmailer by using email-adresses from this domain ([email protected])
Other mail-adresses like something with [email protected] dont work to Log-In succesfully.

DNS settinfs are correct and in Plesk the "use webmail" settings are enabled?

Hi Triloxigen,

the 'use webmail' settings are enabled for all domains.
My DNS ist disabled.

So you don't use psa dns..
Are you sure *.domain.tld or webmail.domain.tld are poining to the server?

Right, I don't use psa dns.
The Domains are pointing right to the server.
It's possible to login with mail-adresses with suffix '@domain.tld', but mail-adresses from other domains on that server don't work. It says something like that: 'Login incorrect. Maybe you've used wrong username or password'

German error-message: 'Die Anmeldung ist fehlgeschlagen. Wahrscheinlich haben Sie Ihren Benutzernamen oder Ihr Passwort falsch eingegeben.'

if I am correct the latest Horde has a buildin security that you can only the accounts of the webmail.domain.com you are going to. So domain1.com should use webmail.domain1.com and domain2.com should use webmail.domain2.com. Where both webmail urls point to the same main IP of the plesk server.

@Matthias: No I still have the problem

@eilko: Thats sounds fine, but it doesn't work. It's possible to reach the Server by pointing the browser to domain1.com and domain2.com. But only webmail.domain1.com works. When I'm pointing the server to webmail.domain2.com he didn't find the Server.

Do you know anything else?

lists.domain1.com. CNAME domain1.com.

webmail.domain1.com. A Server-IP
www.domain1.com. CNAME domain1.com.



Settings for domain2.com:

Server-IP / 24 PTR domain2.com.
domain2.com. A Server-IP

Yes, your settings seems to be correct.

This could sound like a dumb suggestion, but one never knows...

Have you ckeck that webmail is enabled for domain2.com? Under:

Domains > domain2.com > Mail >

Same problem here. IE. gives an error, i think it is a dns/redirect error. And firefox just returns to the login page, appears as if nothing has happened after clicking login.

you have to enable wildcard-subdomains for your domain.

Hi Matthias,

please contact your Domain-Provider. If you have a control Panel for your Domains so almost it's possible to edit oder update your Domain.
