• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I can't send email from outlook 2013, installed on windows 8.1

New Pleskian
I have two cases where a client uses outlook 2013, installed on windows 8. No matter what I try, I can't get outlook to send email through my plesk-server. I keep getting the error: your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified.

This problem only seems to occur with the outlook 2013 + windows 8 combination and it is driving me nuts! I can configure Thunderbird without any problems what-so-ever. And when sending mails through a non-plesk (but also Postfix based) server, it works just fine.

Does someone know why I get this error and how to fix this?

Have you tried setting outlook to use TLS (or AUTO) as an encryption method ...
