  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I'm stuck on sending mail from within OpenCart that is running on a Plesk / Cent OS.

New Pleskian
Hello,

Im new to Plesk. We have one webspace named vps1.lan. In that webspace we have a website. On that website we have opencart with a database running. When we try to use the option "forget password". The mail is not received at the users e-mail. I think that with other mails within the website it also won't work.

When i use "watch mailq" i see the following:
watch mailq.png

The mail does leave the queue. But i see it sends from [email protected] to our given up e-mail adres in the "forget password" section.

We have our first website hosted by a hostingprovider. Now we have Plesk running on a VPS. Example beneath:

example.nl / on hosting provider.
shop.example.nl / on VPS
DNS entry for shop.example.nl is set on example.nl with the IP to the VPS running Plesk.
Till here it functional.

The site and database works, but when it comes to sending e-mail i'm stuck.

I do not have enough knowledge for this problem, i already searched Google and still am searching on Google.

These are the settings for mail from OpenCart:
mail settings opencart.png

I have also tried SMTP settings, then set SMTP to localhost. But on our "example.nl" it is also set on the protocol "mail", and from there it works.

I'm thinking of a DNS problem perhaps or maybe i'm overseeing something else.

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks,

Enri.

Investigation of all mail related problems in Plesk should be started from /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog file. Try to find something useful there. Related error messages and so on.

I try to edit my 1st message but now it is gone, so here it is again:

Thank you for your help

I changed e-mail adresses in stars.

I see from this output that it only had done the local e-mails?

Somebody can help me with this please?

The problem was it was sending mail from [email protected].

I switched back to postfix and edit main.cf:

[root@VZ-ID-947 ~]# tail /etc/postfix/main.cf
****
#myhostname = vps1.lan
myhostname = sdd.nl
