Issue Install Plesk Premium Email on CentOS 7.3

webk

New Pleskian
Hello there,

I bought Plesk Premium Email as it sounds very interesting. However, during installation of the Exentions on CentOS 7.3 (Onyx 17) I encountered dependency issues regarding PHP versions. Is there anyone else that was successful in installing that extension? There are no reviews so far.

The installer gave no direct feedback about the error and told me the installation was fine. But when I tried to start the Extension I got different errors about missing components and started digging in the logs (to find the above).

I think the checks during installation should be more strict to avoid such a situation, especially because Dovecot config gets changed during installation - even if there were problems/errors.

Thanks and best regards,
Sandro

Hi webk,

Could you say what version of Plesk (`plesk version`) and extension do you use? Is updated your Linux? Have you got steps for reproducing?

Hi AYamshanov,

Sure, it's Onyx 17.0.17 and the extension version is 16.2.1
We have PHP 5.6 (Remi Repository) and PHP 7 installed. PHP 5.4 is not present but I don't understand why the extension would need an outdated PHP version.

As for reproducing: I installed the extension and the installer said it's all ok. Once I changed to "Plesk Premium Mail" in the left navigation, I got an error about guam service not being able to start because it was not present. Checking the yum logs I noticed that because of the dependencie issues, the packages required were not installed. Trying manually gave me the above error about the exact dependency issues (see attached).

Is this something that Kolab should check/support as the extension is from them? The support link of the extension points only to the generic support page at Plesk

First, you need to open a ticket in Plesk Support. If the issue with extension, then the ticket will be forwarded next.
