• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Issue Installation Stuck on Windows Server 2019

New Pleskian
Hello All,

This is the first time I'm installing Plesk, however its currently stuck on "Installing MailEnable Standard Edition..." and has been since roughly 2 pm yesterday.
Looking in both the start menu and Programs and Features, it would have looked to have installed the MailEnable software.

I have checked the CPU / RAM usage and its just ticking over it would seem.
The server is a VM running on VMware ESXi 6.7, with 8 cores assigned to the CPU, and 16 GB RAM. Plenty of space too.
I selected Full Installation as well for Plesk.

Would any one have any advise?

Thanks, Tom

If the installation is more than an hour .. kill everything or execute this command, maybe you lost a session if you use web installer
Code:
plesk bin admin --enable-access-domain <pleskhostname.domain.tld>
or use direct IP access with 8443 port

The installation will proceed automatically, taking between thirty minutes and an hour (on average). The installer will download the latest stable Plesk release, install it with the default set of components and features designed to suit the needs of the majority of users, and apply all available patches and updates for maximum security and performance.
Do not worry that you are missing out on any Plesk features this way - you can add or remove Plesk components later. However, if you would like to have control over what components are installed, take a look at installing via console or the web GUI.

You can exclude some components or just use the recommended install, then add or remove as you need.

I recommend using console installation

No issues with my testing servers. It was smooth and quick 12Min with 1CPU and 2G RAM.

Try to go back to http://localhost:8447/summary.html and see what options you have.
Or remove the MailEnable component from the list (Untick the checkbox) and try to install again (on clean server)

Recently I tried to install Plesk on a VM with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SDD and a i7 6700k. After 2 hours of pain the VM machine crashed and after that the whole pc crashed (The famous BLUESCREEN) After that crash the network connection disappeared, nothing at all. Thanks GOD that I found the problem. It was the network interface controller, (PCie Intel PRO 1000 PT Quad). The drivers were too old and crashed everything. If you have the same problem... I found the best solution. It is a driver updater that I found here. Free driver updater: Top-15 list | Thinkmobiles.Check it out, I am really happy with it .

Si l'installation dure plus d'une heure .. tuez tout ou exécutez cette commande, vous avez peut-être perdu une session si vous utilisez le programme d'installation Web
Code:
 plesk bin admin --enable-access-domain <pleskhostname.domain.tld> [/ CODE]
ou utiliser un accès IP direct avec le port 8443

Vous pouvez exclure certains composants ou simplement utiliser l'installation recommandée, puis ajouter ou supprimer selon vos besoins.

Je recommande d'utiliser l'installation de la console
