• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

IPv6 nginx bind problem

GuidoK

New Pleskian
Debian 7.4 64, Plesk 11.5.30 Update #40

I have changed the server certificate and installed several ones to dedicated ips. Now nginx won't start correctly so that websites are not shown:
2014/04/10 03:08:50 [emerg] 2990#0: bind() to [xxxx:xxx:xxx:xxxx::x]:80 failed (99: Cannot assign requested address)

I followed this KB article which works, but the problem persists after a reboot of the machine.
What can I do? Thank you in advance.

I think that you need to check difference in network interfaces configuration before and after reboot. Maybe changes which you made are not permanent.

I did not change anything on the console, though. At the moment no certificate and no website is set to the IPv6 adress, but the log still comes up with the same problem after reboot.
