• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Is smartermail that is installed on the same computer as plesk considered a "remote smartermail server"?

Commander

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Windows Server 2022
Plesk version and microupdate number
Version 18.0.48
I am asking a question in the smartermail community forum about it working with plesk.

The member in that forum responding to me mentioned this article in plesk:

In this article, it mentions a "Remote SmarterMail Server".

If I installed SmarterMail on the *same* local server as where plesk is installed (on a godaddy VPS), is my smartermail installation considered remote or local smartermail server?

I ask because I have Smartermail 14.7, but it seems like Plesk requires smartermail verison 15+ in order to work as a "remote smartermail server".

Also, after I installed smartermail 14.7, my plesk 18.0.47 immediately listed "Smartermail 14.7" as an available email service, and I was able to select it and it appears to work fine.
