• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi Team,

I have a strange issue and need your assit on this.

We have multiple servers in our enviroment and we are facing thi issue with one particular server.

While taking server backup via plesk backup manager to our Amazon S3 , As per schedule it will start around midnight 12AM and it will be keep running for long time like more the 20+hours for around 1.5TB data

We didnt see anything on the backup logs or errors , It will run for 85% to 90% and finally it will fail with below error.

Error: Failed to open the dump backup_2403040046.tar2: Import error: Unable to find archive metadata. The archive is not valid Plesk backup or has been created in an unsupported Plesk version.

Note : We have checked all backups or permission to S3 or communication to S3 all looks good

Kindly advise how to proceed further check and fix it
