  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Issues after automatic update to Plesk Windows Obsidian 18.0.38 #1

Basic Pleskian
Hello,
tonight at 1.07 AM Plesk autoupdated itself to the version 18.0.38 #1.
It's a shared hosting server, this morning our customers are calling us because the mail service isn't working anymore.
We tried to access the server with RDP and it doesn't work too.
Please help

Mail service isn't working, the server isn't reacheable by RDP but I can access it through Plesk Control Panel with browser

As you are able to access Plesk, that means server is up and running.
If its not accessible via RDP then it looks and issue with RDP configuration or its port.
You can troubleshoot the issue through KVM console if it is available to you.
All email services ports and RDP port must be open in Windows firewall on server.
If RDP not working :
make sure RDP port is open in Windows firewall and ant virus on server,
RDP is open under Remote Settings with option "Allow remote connections to this computer" enabled

If mails are not working :
make sure all email services are running which you can check in Plesk too
all email service ports are open in Windows firewall and anti virus on server

Regards,
Sam F
