Mail accounts disk space usage discrepancy

Can anyone explain the attached screen cap?

The total of the mailboxes is 378 MB but if you add up the totals of all 7 mailboxes it only adds up to around 200 MB. Anyone know why there is such a huge discrepancy here? Any way to clear up the extra space?

Hi,

Try to update statistics for this domain with the following command:

PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/sbin/statistics --calculate-one --domain-name=<domain_name>

replace PRODUCT_ROOT_D with appropriate value from your /etc/psa/psa.conf

It is a normal statistics output.

Have you checked the space occupied by your mail accounts?

I waited to see if the numbers refreshed over the weekend but they did not... total space reads 388 MB but when I add up the mailboxes it only comes to 204 MB. Very strange... any ideas as to why the large discrepancy?

Anyone else experience this issue? It's happening with more accounts. It's really hard to tell how much space someone is actually using up.

Still looking for a solution

Plesk support won't get back to me on this bug. I've checked folder sizes using WinSCP and the calculations Plesk is doing is wrong. I'm bumping the topic to see if anyone has a solution...

Many many months gone by now and no resolution...

But what I found out is that the TOTAL amount of disk space used up by mailboxes is correct, but the totals for each of the individual inboxes are off... and they're always lower than what they really are. I've used du via command line to verify the size of the mailboxes.

Can anyone help?
