Mail - Error creating lock file error 80

    Hello,

    Our customers randomly cant login to pop3, outlook pop's the authenticate popup but when you enter it wont be accepted.


    It creates the following log item:
    03/29/10 07:22:42 Error creating lock file for postoffice domain.tld mailbox mailbox@domain.tld. Error (80)

    obviously i replaced the real domainname.

    Does anyone has the same problem and knows the solution?

    Plesk 9.2.1
    Windows server 2008
    Do you need to know more?

    Is it MailEnable MTA? Check how many concurrent connections for POP3 you have in registry and try to increase it there.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Services\POP\Concurrent Access Enabled

    Yes its mailenable,

    the current value is 0, can you tell me what a normal value is?

    Try to set it as 64

    I changed the value, does the systeem need to restart or is a service restart enough?

    Not sure but try to restart Plesk.
