• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Mailarchive - Protect all mails from deleting

TorbHo

Regular Pleskian

We need something like an email archive. Therefore, we plan to copy all emails from one mailbox to another.

Is there a way to protect a specific mailbox from accidentally deleting any emails?

No solution, yet?

How about a file / directory protection for this specific mailaddress via ssh?
Could this lead to any problems?

Thank you, Peter. I would also like to vote for it, but the topic has already been rejected by Plesk. In addition, my experience with feature requests is that it takes several years for Plesk to respond - if at all.

I don't have several years to spare, so I'm looking for a solution that helps me now.

I am not looking for a GoBD-compliant solution. I just want to protect all emails of a specific user from being deleted.

I tested the following
Code:
chattr +i
However, the emails weren't readable after that.
