  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question MariaDB 10.3 Not Showing in Plesk Components and Crashing After Installation

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.69 Web Host Edition
Hello,

I have MariaDB 11.4 (11.4.3.0) installed on Plesk, but I want to downgrade it to MariaDB 10.3 (10.3.39.0) just like on my old server. I successfully installed it, and it appears under the database servers. I can even create new databases with it. However, it doesn't show up under the Plesk components, and when I click "Refresh", MariaDB crashes.

What could be the reason for this?

Thank you.

MariaDB 10.3 is only supported for customer websites and cannot be used solely for everything. The best option if you needed 10.3 is to either install it as a separate installation on the same server (adds major complexity), install it as a docker container (minor complexity) or create a small separate server for that version (lot more straight forward but also need to ensure firewall rules configured so there's no public access and only trusted servers can communicate to it). Whichever options you go with you can add it as an additional database type to offer to websites in plesk getting it installed.
