• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue MariaDB failed imports - ERROR at line 1: Unknown command '\-'.

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
CentOS 7.9
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.60 Update #1
Hi,

We operate a number of plesk servers, some are still running CentOS7/MariaDB 10.2.44 due to not being able to upgade or migrate yet.
Previous attempts to update MariaDB had failed sue to depencies installed via the CityFan repo.

When importing dumps created from newer versions of MariaDB we get the error:
ERROR at line 1: Unknown command '\-'.
[DATETIME] [ERROR 'mysql' finished with non-zero exit code: 1

Unzipping and removing line 1 from the export allows the file to import correctly.
/*!999999\- enable the sandbox mode */

Is there a setting anywhere in Plesk, plesk.ini or MariaDB that we can untilise to ignore this 1st line?

Thanks.

This seems to be caused by a bug in MariaDB and happens when different versions of the mysqldump utility are used for exporting and importing.

There is no option to disable the line for dumps made with Plesk. This issue should get resolved when the MariaDB bug gets fixed.
