• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question MariaDB instead of MySQL on a fresh machine?

DarkTexas

New Pleskian
Hi there folks!

Just a short question, I'm running a Windows Server 2016 and decided to move onto another Server with Windows Server 2019. Now that I've installed Plesk I've noticed that in the DB Manager I only see MariaDB instead of Plesk. When opening the Control Panel via the taskbar it also Shows me "MariaDB Server" instead of "MySQL Server" like it was on my "original" Server.

Is that the default for Plesk now, or have I done anything wrong, or is MariaDB even better to use now and that's why it was installed?

Thanks in advance for your help folks!

Chris
