Resolved Memcached installation problem on PHP5.6

vaarsn

New Pleskian
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and Plesk 17.5. I'm trying to install Memcached with:
/opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/pecl install memcached
. This is what I'm getting:
Code:
# /opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/pecl install memcached
pecl/memcached requires PHP (version >= 7.0.0), installed version is 5.6.30
pecl/memcached can optionally use PHP extension "igbinary" (version >= 2.0)
pecl/memcached can optionally use PHP extension "msgpack" (version >= 2.0)
No valid packages found
install failed
I don't want to use PHP 7.x. Have the same version of Plesk on Debian 8.7. But there is no problems with Memcached installation on PHP 5.6.

Thanks

To install memcached for PHP 5.6, without choosing the latest release, you can define the complete version, for example:

# /opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/pecl install memcached-2.2.0
