• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Migration doesn't preserve file owner group ids

Migration manager changes owner/group for all files for each domain to clientuser/psacln. Surprising since many apps like Gallery are provisioned/managed by Plesk. This has broken many of our clients websites because these files need to be owned by apache or another user/group.

Anyone run into this issue and either know of a plesk utility to clean up/repair ownership and permissions, or have written a script to do that?

What a pain in the ***. So much money spent on this and so much additional work required to fix the mess it creates...

Note: I've had this problem with the Migration Manager in both 7.5.4 and 8.0.0.

we have a similar problem and are in a real need for a script which restores filesystem ownerships ...

did u find a solution ?
