Migration error

I've inherited a webserver with Plesk 7.5.3 that I am trying to move to another server running Plesk 7.5.4. When I use the Migration tool, I get the following error:

Failed deployment of domain domain.com
Assertion failed: content.size()

I have turned off the check for size.

HELP!

According to another thread, Plesk support has an update to fix this. However, since you 'inherited' this server I don't know if they will support you (not the original owner), but if you are the original owner of the 7.5.4 system they probably will.

I had this issue a lot recently. I was not sure what the error was, but everything seemed to migrate successfully anhow. I came from Ensim 4.0.3.

Check to see if everything was transfered ok, it might not be that big of a deal.

I would, however, like to know a little more about what causes the error.

You mean other than:

-inadequate error checking and handling
-poor programming (ie. lazy, sloppy) in some areas
-lack of forethought or vision
-inadequate pre-release testing under adverse conditions (clone production server drives instead of doing fresh installs)

I think we'd all just like things to work, and work properly when needed. That would be a nice change of pace....
