mod_security log empty after logrotate

I have several servers with plesk modsecurity, all servers have the same config.
All servers have the same /etc/logrotate.d/mod_security

/var/log/modsec_audit.log {
daily
rotate 7
missingok
compress
postrotate
/sbin/service httpd reload > /dev/null 2>/dev/null || true
endscript
}

On two servers the modsec_audit.log always empty after logrotate
What can be the problem ?

it is enabled.
when i do a reload of apache the log was filled again.
i will check tomorrow after the logrotate if it is disabled.
but I can not imagine why it should be disabled overnight ?
