Monitor a service?

I want to be paged/emailed if the mailman process goes down. I'm trying to figure out how to do this. Watchdog? Event Handler? Basically,I want to be emailed if this command: ps aux | grep mailman | wc -l returns 0.

You can try 4PSA Server Assistant which will email you and attempt to restart mailman as specified by the admin.

I wrote a quick cronjob for it but I'll check out 4psa's product. I have their spam and integrator, very good products.
