multivolume backup - Backup is doubled

Michael Wa.

Basic Pleskian
Hi I'm using Panel 10.1.1

our daily scheduled backup is set up to split the backup into several 2GB tar files.
However the backup process now creates 2 backups:

A) complete Backup splitted into several 2GB files
B) + a additional complete backup in a single tar file.

the result: backup time, load and discspace is doubled!

Can someone confirm this error? Or provide a solution for this?

Regards
Michael

Yes, I am seeing that as well, but only for some backups that are split.

However, I am also seeing backup files getting split oddly. The Multivolume size is set to 2047 and I get the following.

Mar 16, 2011 11:46 PM domain-1103162346.tar 3.91 GB
Mar 16, 2011 11:46 PM domain-1103162346.tar1 1.91 GB

Mar 17, 2011 11:46 PM domain-1103172346.tar 3.91 GB
Mar 17, 2011 11:46 PM domain-1103172346.tar1 1.91 GB

I also noticed that the backup file timestamp is 1 + 5n minutes eg 6, 11, or 21 minutes from the scheduled backup start time. Not really a problem, just seems really weird to me.
In the older version of Plesk, I would use the timestamp figure out how long each backup process would take, so I can stack them in as tightly together without overlapping as I can.

I'm afraid the multi-volume backup issue is still persistent.
Any solutions?
Cheers!
