MySQL admin password changed

Today, I changed the MySQL password to the account "admin", thinking it would be a good thing. Yes, I am an idiot.

So now, when I go to my control panel, it says:

ERROR: PleskFatalException
Unable to connect to database: saved admin password is incorrect.

0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/common_func.php3:156
psaerror(string 'Unable to connect to database: saved admin password is incorrect.')
1: /usr/local/psa/admin/auto_prepend/auth.php3:90

I can log in to MySQL directly through shell access. How on earth do I undo what I did, or set the Plesk admin password to the new one?

Hi,

This problem was faced by many people and solution for such cases is described in Knowledge base article:
http://kb.swsoft.com/en/346
You should check chapter 4 of recommendations.
Hope this helps.

Actually, in this case all I had to do was go to etc/psa/.psa.shadow and change the password to the new password.

Simple, I know. The other post did show me where to look, though! Thanks!

Next time, just change the password through Plesk. This will also update the password for the MySQL admin account.
