• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Mysql - connecting with admin user

Hi all,
I've enabled access to the admin user to manage all the databases of our hosting in Plesk.
I was wondering if there are permission problems if I connect with the admin user rather than the users created for the single databases in plesk gui.

Thank you,
Max

Max,

If you are logged into Plesk as the "admin" user then you can browse to the "Database Servers" section on the home screen, and access the phpMyAdmin interface at the admin level.

You shouldnt have any issues managing tables from the databases, it shouldn't cause you any permissions issues. The only thing to be sure of is that you don't change anything in the "mysql" or "psa" databases.
