• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question MySQL/Percona 8.4 Support

matrix

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 12
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.67 #3
As title says: is 8.4 supported?
Anyone tried?

Per the System Requirements the supported databases is MySQL 5.7 and later, PostgreSQL 8.4-15, and MariaDB.

Technically speaking nothing stops you from trying to install it but your mile may vary. I'd recommend voting for adding it as a support over at Add Percona support
Percona is already supported, there is even an official how-to in plesk docs. (it's a MySQL drop-in replacement, so...)
My question was about the specific MySQL version 8.4. I know 8.0.x is supported. But 8.0 end of life is coming soon and the new LTS on new installs is 8.4.x.
So I want to know if anyone tried running plesk on MySQL 8.4.

Hello, the current version of Plesk doesn't support MySQL8.4, I hope the support will be announced in the next releases.
BR, Aleksei
