MySQL Tuning for Plesk

RyanSett

New Pleskian
Hello,

The hardware I am running is the following:
6 CPU Intel I7
14 GB of RAM
1 TB of Space

The server isn't even using 2 GB. I wanted to give more to SQL to improve performance.
I've tried to add settings to /etc/my.cnf and change default settings, but plesk breaks.

Any guides on what to update the defaults too from the above hardware.

Hi, yes I am familiar with mysql tuner, but I was curious to baseline settings to increase performance overall.

Then I found the my.cnf file, but its pretty empty I wanted the exact settings I need to increase the amount of resources of the physical ram.

Is their a my.cnf reference guy or cheat sheet. I know of the documentation on mysql site.
