• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Hello Support Team,

We would like to check something regarding ProFTPD on our Plesk server.

When we tried to disable ProFTPD in Plesk, a warning message appeared saying that many other components may also be affected. The message also seems to indicate that this may impact Plesk itself.

We are not planning to make any changes yet, as we would first like to confirm whether disabling or removing ProFTPD could cause any issue to Plesk or its existing features.

Could you please help confirm the below:

  1. If we disable or remove ProFTPD, will it affect Plesk?
  2. Will any existing Plesk features or extensions stop working because of this?
  3. What is the safest way to disable FTP service without causing any issue to Plesk?
For your reference, we have attached the screenshot of the warning message shown in Plesk.

Awaiting your advice.
