Hello to all members.
I have found a new bug inside Plesk 7.6.1 regarding change domain ownership.

I will provide more information:

We have a domain account , so called:
domain.com

This domain account exist under client account so called:
winnerserv
I have created a new client account so called:
winnerserv2
Now , I try to move that domain account into winnerserv2 client
account , and of course through the web interface (without command
line , and yes I know that there is a command line which I can
execute for making such a move , but I want to use the web
interface , if such feature exist inside the web interface then
it's SWSOFT responsibilty to make QA and not to ask for users to
make free QA services , we Pay for software and SWSOFT must to
provide a good quality of software that was pass 100% QA tests.
So, the change owner of domain.com didn't succeed.
plesk is keeping to show the following error msg:
Warning: Unable to continue domain transfer: this domain requires more
resources than the destination user account can provide

In brief,
try to change the owner of domain.com from winnerserv to winnerserv2
and you will encounter the error,
I did deeply check and didn't find a reasone why this process failed.
I also check deeply winnerserv2 limits and check deeply domain.com
limits and there is no reason for such process to failed.
I already enabled Plesk debug and couldn't find a reason for such
failure.

SWSOFT developers must to make deeply investigation as soon as possible.

The support dept. must stop ask from customers to pay for support services when Plesk 7.6.1
isn't yet end of life status and when the support ticket is regarding plesk bugs.

We have done the followings:

1. create client1 + limits
2. create domain1 + phys.hosting + limits (less than client1's limits)
3. create client2 + limits (more than client1's limits)
4. change owner of domain1 from client1 to client2
5. succeeded

1. create client3 + unlimited
2. change owner of domain1 from client2 to client3
3. succeeded

1. create client4 and client5 + same limits
2. create domain2 for client4 + same limits
3. change owner of domain2 from client4 to client5
4. succeeded and limits have been kept

1. change limits of some clients via Group operation
2. change owner (if there is not conflict with limits)
3. succeeded

1. change limits of some domains via Group operation
2. change owner (if there is not conflict with limits)
3. succeeded

In other cases - when there is disparity of limits - Plesk generates error message which prevent owner changing.

Thus we cannot reproduce this issue.

Could you please provide exact scenario?

Hello,

The destination client account need to have validity date limit.
For example , create client1 account which will be expire in the next year.

if you have a client account which expiration date is unlimited then everything is OK but if client account is set to be expired (even the expiration date is higher then domain account which you want change owner) then you will encounter the issue which I have described.

if still you can't reproduce the issue then I will make flash movie which will show the problem.

Hello Ilan,

Thank you very much. We have reproduced this issue. It will be fixed as soon as possible.

SWsoft is the first company in the world which say for end users that they will not fix the bugs but only in the newer version (version 8.3)

Plesk 7.6.1 is not End of LIFE

But for SWsoft it doesn't care

Old bug found

I just tried to change domain owner and get the error messages:

Warning: Some problems were encountered during attempt to transfer some of the domains to a new owner.
Domain transfer is impossible. This domain requires more resources than destination user account can provide.

and...

Warning: Domain transfer is impossible. This domain requires more resources than destination user account can provide.

The resources should be good all unlimited and the ip wil stay the same I just want to change the owner.
